Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the websites, applications and services provided by AEC DX Labs("AEC DX Labs", "we", "us"), including our desktop applications (such as REVIFF) and the AEC DX Labs account portal (collectively, the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Services
AEC DX Labs develops and distributes software for design and engineering workflows, including Windows desktop applications (such as REVIFF). You use one account for all of them. The account portal lets you manage your account, licensed devices and support requests, and download your settings backups. Features may change, be added or be withdrawn as the Services evolve.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
- You must be legally capable of entering into a contract to use the Services.
3. Licenses and Purchases
Software license. While you hold an active license for one of our desktop applications (a trial, a promotional license or a paid plan), we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use it on the number of devices stated for your plan. Free versions are licensed on the same terms for as long as we offer them. We may use device identifiers to enforce license limits, and when a license ends the application returns to its free version. Trials are limited to one per person and device. A promo code unlocks an application for the number of days it states, can be redeemed once per account and has no cash value.
Purchases. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Prices, taxes and billing terms are shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel; you can cancel at any time from Billing in the account portal, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
Refunds. If you are not satisfied, you can request a full refund within 14 days of a purchase or renewal: use the link in your Paddle receipt, or email hello@aecdxlabs.com. A refunded license ends when the refund is processed, and the devices it covered return to the free version. This does not limit any rights you have under the consumer law of your country.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- reverse engineer, decompile or circumvent licensing or technical protections in the Services, except where such restriction is prohibited by law;
- resell, sublicense, share or make license keys or accounts available to third parties;
- use the Services to violate law, infringe rights of others, or transmit malicious code;
- interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services or their infrastructure.
5. Intellectual Property
The Services, including all software, content, trademarks and logos, are owned by AEC DX Labs or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license expressly granted to you, no rights are transferred. You retain ownership of the files and data you create with the Services.
6. Your Content
You grant us a limited license to host and process content you submit (such as settings backups and support attachments) solely to operate and support the Services. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR THAT DATA WILL NOT BE LOST. MAINTAIN YOUR OWN BACKUPS OF IMPORTANT DATA.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AECDX LABS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR GOODWILL. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR FIFTY (50) US DOLLARS. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN EXCLUSIONS, SO PARTS OF THIS SECTION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. You can close your account yourself with "Delete account" on the Profile page of the account portal: the account is deleted after a 7-day grace period, during which you can keep it. When you ask, an active subscription is set to end at the end of its current billing period, or when the account is deleted if that comes first, so you aren't charged again; if you keep your account before it ends, it renews as before (one you had already set not to renew stays that way). An overdue or paused subscription is canceled straight away. Lifetime licenses end when the account is deleted. Nothing is refunded automatically (see Refunds). You can also email us at hello@aecdxlabs.com from the email address on your account. What happens to your data when an account is closed is described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, unlawful use, or where required by law; while an account is suspended it can't be used to sign in to the portal or our applications. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers and liability limits) survive.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will give reasonable notice (for example by email or an in-portal notice) before it takes effect. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services, unless applicable consumer law provides otherwise.
